David Jones Lower-Body Injury - Day-To-Day
Randy Sportak @SUNRandySportak: David Jones has been gone for longer than the usual when it's a broken skate blade
#Flames
Roger Millions @RogMillions: I stand corrected from earlier . David Jones is getting further observation by #Flame team doctors. Will update when I know more
Went down after blocking a shot.

Dec 4th, eh? It was only a matter of when. Wonder if they call up Freddie Hamilton.

A right-shooting RW who leads the Heat in scoring... He seems like the logical choice if Jones is out for a while.

Any updates on his status? Jones gets hurt almost every year , so im guessing he will be out for a while. The sad part is he is normally playing pretty good when he gets injured. It normally takes him a long time to get his game back after he comes back from injuries.

Would they go with F.Hamilton and D.Hamilton on the jersey backs then? Or just keep them and let the numbers distinguish

I'd say he is more of a centre, but he can play RW. Drew Shore deserves the chance though IMO. But I think if they recall anyone it will be Hathaway.

When they had the Regehr brothers 10 years ago, they both just had their last name with no initial (the fact that they had the same initial may have played a role in that).
When Blair and David Jones were both here a couple of seasons ago, they did have their initials. I think there were also a couple of games where one just had the last name and the other had the initial.
So, to answer your question, I can confidently say, I have no idea.

 Posted the 6 millionth post!

Let's bring up Poirier and see if he can perform. Otherwise let's put Granlund on the wing and call Grant back up.

Hamilton, Hathaway, Shore, Poirior and Grant are all viable options IMO

^Agostino too. I don't think Hathaway and Poirier have stood out consistently, others have.

Poirier didn't play this weekend in either game. Not sure if he's injured or if it was a healthy scratch. Either way I don't think he's an option for a call up. To many other guys playing better then him.

My top 4 candidates for a recall
Winger needed
1. Hamilton
2. Agostino
Center needed
1. Grant
2. Arnold (only because he needs playing time because of the injuries he's dealt with)

Randy Sportak @SUNRandySportak
#Flames news: Lance Bouma full practice. No timeline on return (broken leg) but ahead of schedule David Jones doesn't have a broken foot.
Randy Sportak @SUNRandySportak
Jones didn't practice today - nor did Kris Russell - and coach Hartley said both are day-to-day.
Looks like no call up if Jones is day to day

Unrelated but what the hell are we doing with Nakladal? He was easily as good as Ryan Wilson, Kulak, or Engelland in training camp. We signed him out of Europe to keep him buried in the A? 27 year old player. Why waste the player's time, especially when he is clearly good enough to be here.

Little harsh to say the flames are wasting his time. From all accounts he's been good down in Stockton, but still lots to prove. Quite frankly i don`t know who he replaces right now. Smid has been very solid since his return and i`ve liked Engelland's game all season. injuries will happen and if he gets his chance hopefully he can prove himself.
