Staal'd in New York

The Rangers have shipped veteran defenseman Marc Staal to the Islanders in exchange for defenseman Patrick Wiercoch and 3 prospects; goalie JF Berube, forward Mark McNeill and defenseman Stuart Percy.

Wiercoch can jump right in and play and isn't that much of a downgrade from Staal and the 3 kids gives the organization some decent prospects, which are badly needed.
