Nice write up. I can't believe that it is 21 games.

At least other contenders for the record, you had really lousy Pittsburgh and St Louis teams against very strong Philly teams. Or Rocket Richard era Habs vs Rangers pre expansion. Calgary has not been consistently crap for 10 years. This seems like a statistical anomaly or a legitimate curse.

Goat - wise... Highly paid D, ok. Why not single out Hamilton as a goat?

General crappiness is one thing.

Letting a guy walk cleanly around was a huge dagger in the team's momentum.

The Ducks physically man handled the Flames again. Colborne, Bennett and Ferland seemed to be the only ones to offer some push back.

I still see effort ... but what I don't see is smarts or that team that seemed to walk out the same play regardless of score.

The latter is huge. So much of pro sports is abandoning a game plan based on the score; either laying off if you're up or trying to do too much when you're down.

The Flames are so flummoxed that they don't seem relaxed up, down, tied ... always forcing things.

Brodie and Giordano both up the ice shorthanded is a classic example. Get the game to overtime, sure you blew your lead, but kill the penalty and let the Calgary Gaudreas go to work 3 on 3.

Instead its push push push.
