Thank you jebus! Gio and Hamilton are not a thing. Stop trying to make them a thing!

Those D-pairings don't inspire confidence.
Hurry back Brodie. Losing a #2 d-man is pretty painful, and I think those pairings look drastically better once he's back.

I never thought I'd be so happy to see Ladi Smid on the ice.
It looks like Hiller is breaking in a new mask...

When you add Smid to the mix there's a slow as molasses anchor on every pairing. They can't seriously be about to throw Smid into game action.

Hmmm.... If there is any truth to the rumour surrounding Russell as a player that other GMs are targeting, I don't actually mind this experiment in terms of defensive pairings. Brodie takes Russells place and if there is any chemistry between the other four, we know that Englland and Brodie can play well together.
Giordano-Wideman
Brodie (Russell)-Engelland
Smid-Hamilton
may have potential.
Edit : or upon further thought,
Giordano-Wideman
Brodie - Hamilton
Smid (Englland) - Rookie
is probably more realistic, with Smid and Englland alternating the 6/7.
Either way, seems like a plan. It would all hinge on Gio and Wideman, and that's who I will be watching tomorrow.

Hamilton on the bottom pairing and rightfully so.
Flames need to stop trying to trade for "Can't lose" d-men...

#Flames finally finished. Stretching now, library quiet. Pretty telling of their situation.

How fast some people can completely turn on a player is crazy.
