okay guys,
Lets focus on the bright side of the last few games. Here are some of my thoughts
Colbourne : Really liked his game last night , Used his size and reach along the boards and had strong work ethic.
Jooris : Have seen much more from him the last few games. trending in right direction.
Jones : Is using his feet and making plays. Enjoying his game at the moment.
Gio : Gaining steam, Knocking the rust off.
Monahan : Much better last night , Was possibly my biggest concern last few games.
Gaudreau : Looking exellent as ever. No complaints from his season.
Frolik: So far very happy with this offseason signing
Bennett: while the whole body of work is a in progress, He has shown glimpses of excellence. Learning the game on a deeper level and should start getting things going soon.
Please keep the pessimism to the GDT and PGT.... Lets keep something positive in this rough go.

I also really liked Colboure's game last night. Jooris is skating well but I find he's fighting the puck a lot-- having issues stick handling and maintaining possession, but he's been more noticeable and his effort isn't in question.
Lots still to be positive about as the team is still ahead of schedule in the rebuild. There are some nice pieces here and in AHL. This season could be a disappointment but the future is still pretty bright IMO as long as one of the goaltenders in the organization can pan out into a franchise netminder.
Hudler's new contract is getting cheaper by the game. If he keeps playing like this, then in a couple weeks maybe they can offer him a PTO for next year?

Except we signed a lot of players long term who are currently garbage. We went all in a bit early on the older pieces of this core.
When you're in the bight you're in the danger zone.
hahaha I did not even notice the typo in thread tittle and was very confused by the burrows mentions. Now I feel like I should not edit it out ( but I have to ) Will give it mention still.
Thought I heard the organ guy play the super mario bros theme last night. That was pretty cool.
In all seriousness I thought Jooris had some real snarl to him. Had a few takeaways and was winning puck battles. Colbourne also looked good and was one of the few guys throwing hits.
It was also neat to hear about that one linesman (can't remember his name) who is retiring after this season and Hudler joking around with him on the bench between whistles. Nice to see an official so well respected around the league have such a great career.
The forwards played much better overall last night as a group. I'm happy to see that most of the guys figured out how to play at least adequately in all three zones.
Still needs work, but it's a start.
