It's crazy that Widemans hit (of questionable intentions) is worth 20, yet Keith's and Kadris intentional sticks to the head/face is worth a combined half.
Wheel o' Justice strikes again.

Cost him 200k for that infraction. Yikes. Most of us around here barely make that in a year.

I see that the NHL has figured out how to use multiple angles again in their suspension videos. That a step in the right direction. As a repeat offender that is pretty soft by the NHL.

Like it or not, abuse of the officials is a worse offense in the NHL's eyes. Had Wideman hit a Nashville player instead, but in the exact same way, he wouldn't have even received a one game suspension.

4 games is very harsh considering what Keith just got.
You can't touch an official. The NHL deems it a different category.

It's either jealousy or just plain wrong. Athletes are completely overpaid and it will only get worse.
PM of Canada makes US$ 296,400 year. Manages an economy with an annual GDP of $1.592 trillion (2016 est), never mind military, diplo relations etc...
Premier of Alberta makes CAD $215,000.
Our favorite hockey player Nazim Kadri loses CAD $200,000 for a 4 game suspension chopping the head off someone.

Nope, life isn't fair and the NHL salaries are based on what the market will bear and what people are willing to pay.
I'm just saying it's totally whacked.

The more I see Kadri, the more he reminds me of a younger Kesler. Just full of piss and vinegar.
You know, actual piss and vinegar, not the type that people talk about when complimenting someone. He is quickly becoming one of the NHL's 'hated' and least respected players.

Kadri is the biggest bum in the NHL. I've hated him ever since the world junior tournament after he showed a lot of disrespect. He wouldn't shake Niederreiter's hand and he made a throat slitting gesture to the Swiss team (much like he did against the Flames this year.) He has no class and very little hockey skill.

With Marner, Nylander and possibly Matthews as their long term centre depth, do they really need this problematic SOB? Would be hilarious if they ended up signing him to a long term deal.

Ugh, this kid is a scumbag. Climbing the list of my (and many others) most hated players, that's for sure. Hard to knock off Kesler, Burrows, and Marchand though.

GOAT!

It really bothers me that whether or not the target was injured on the play affects the outcome of the decision. A full-blown, three-stride charge ending in a cross-check to the side of the head is exactly what it is. Who cares if it hurt the other guy or not? Maybe if it was someone else, it would have been a concussion or even a broken neck. Is the act any less malicious because that didn't happen?

I'd most definitely put this puke ahead of Marchand on my list of most hated players, and don't forget Cooke

Marchand, I could see for Outofthecube, since he's a Sabres fan. Kadri is easier to hate for westerners because we get the leafs shoved down our throats, along with the constant over hype of the leafs.

I hate Kadri. Kadri dives, and he's generally just an unlikable dingus, but he also takes a lot of stick work. He's smaller, and very talented - so players target him with stick work to even the playing field. The NHL refs are complete trash and have thrown out the rule book in favour of calling whatever they deem to be Good Hockey Vs Bad Hockey.
That being said, this is why the Flames need to do a better job protecting Johnny. The constant slashing and cross checking he deals with should be dealt with as a team. Successful teams stand up for each other. The Kings, Ducks, Hawks all stand up for each other - the Flames need to start doing this.

Very little hockey skill? He's all those other things but he has a lot of hockey skill. One of the most skilled guys in the league.
