Default 2015/16 Calgary Flames Fitness Results

The results are in! After analyzing all of the results from the 2015 Calgary Flames fitness testing, the team has determined the top three performers in this year's test:

MAIN CAMP

1. Michael Frolik

2. Garnet Hathaway

3. Kris Russell

NOTE: Mark Giordano would have likely been first overall but he did not do pull-ups, which factors into the final rankings.

PROSPECT CAMP

1. Morgan Klimchuk

2. Patrick Sieloff

Perhaps why Hathaway is still with the team? Reward?

Hopefully Gio's bicep will be good to go for the season opener. Posters were saying his shot did not have much zip during winsport sessions. Some time has passed since the fitness testing, so I'm hopeful he's getting better.

Good to see that Frolik didn't take it easy after signing his big contract in the off-season.

He had some decent shots in the Vancouver game.

How come they don't reveal the whole list? I'm honestly more interested in who's at the bottom.

Probably because they don't want to embarrass their players.

Can Sam Bennett do a pull-up yet?

Would have been fun to see the top 3 performers in each test or something like that.
Doew anybody know the tests players undergo?
From what I would guess:
  1. Bench Press
  2. Windgate
  3. Vertical Jump
  4. Pullups
  5. VO2
Can't think of what else they might do but it would be fun to know.

No?

He is a professional hockey player. It's not just the big stars that are in shape.

Remember Raitis Ivanans?

I guess this puts the debate to rest. Like Bennett, players that can't do pull-ups aren't good enough for edmonton. Maybe Giordano isn't as good as Edmonton's defence after all?
