Default Car window tint, specifically Shadow Tinting

I'm probably going to go with Shadow tinting just because they seem to have the best rep. in town. Anyone gone with their 3 year guaranteed, "standard" tint? Happy with it? The next product up costs 3x as much. I'm thinking if their standard tint does deteriorate after 3 years, you could replace it with the same and still be ahead, no?

The guy at Raven/3M whateveritscalled on 58th does fantastic work, and there’s none of this ‘product A’ or ‘product B’ stuff. Top quality films and a professional installer.

What is a ballpark price on tinting a station wagon? Rear window, two side wagon windows and the two rear door windows.

I've always gotten their standard tint. On my first new car, it still looked just as good as the day I got it 6 years after. The second car for 8 years. No fade and didn't turn purple. They will always get my business.

Yup - had 4 cars done with the standard film and a shaved edge. Always happy.

I think my Civic for 5 windows was about $300-320 in 2012.

Default Car window tint, specifically Shadow Tinting

My son bought an SUV from a dealership, then decided about a week later he wanted everything back of the front seats tinted. He got a quote from Shadow Tint which seemed a little high to me, so I told him to ask the dealership. I knew they'd outsource it anyway if they did it. So he asked the dealer, and they told him to go to Shadow Tint and tell them to give them their referral price, and he saved one-third off their original quote.
He had it done through them and he's very happy with the results.

It depends on how long you plan on owning a vehicle. If it's a long time I personally feel paying extra for ceramic tinting is worth it has no dyes (never fades), inert (does not interfere with satellite or phone), and far, far superior UV and heat rejection compared to standard metalized or carbon films.

As for Shadow Tinting they aren't the best for tinting or ppf but they are competent and have good customer service.

I got my tint and PPF from Shadow in 2017 and it still looks good, when installing they broke my door panel and ordered a new part from Honda and said bring the car back for them to re-install the new part when it arrived. Village Honda had the part in stock, so they asked if I wanted to wait for an hour while one of them drove way up there to go get it. Pretty good service, I'd say.

I took 81MC's advice and went to Raven. They only have 3 tints to choose from, but it's lifetime warranty so can't beat that. Looks like a good job to me. Nice guys, good service and in and outta there in an hour.

Thanks 81MC.
