Default Why no Ferland siging

I really, really like Ferland so I have to admit Im getting nervous..

He should be signed now that the others are done but nothing seems to be happening...Agent playing hardball? (probably) Player issues? (hope not) Looking to trade him because of contract demands or opportunity for a good return, say to Winnipeg? (really really hope not)

Im probably just another jittery fan... overthinking and trying to rush the process...

I heard he's looking for at least Bieksa money, using the argument that if he brings more to the table, he should afford to put more on his own table.

Its July 30th, Treliving and Co had to deal with Jooris, Bouma & Byron before they probably dealt with Ferland. IMO he'll have a deal soon.

No need to start a new thread over your concern.

It's been a busy off-season for the Flames and they still have plenty of time to sign the remaining RFA's.

Treliving is a one step at a time guy, it seems. Ferland is a pretty easy deal IMO, and therefore easy to hold off on until the harder ones got done.

I am more worried about Dustin Boyd. Literally haven't heard anything about him and the Flames talking about new contract in years.

I dont think the Flames want a guy like Ferland signed so they are looking to trade him but haven't found anyone yet. He is as good as gone.

I imagine Ferland will be one of the next guys to be signed. I think it only makes sense that Treliving signed his full time roster guys first. Ferland likely is more important to the organization long term than either Jooris or Byron but I think it is in good taste to do those contracts first since they were full time players last year.

Canucks are offer sheeting him 6x6 so they don't have to face him again.

I heard that when Treliving went to the scheduled meeting Ferland tried to bodycheck him through the wall.

It was just an instinctual reaction. Brad understands. But they had to re-schedule.

In fairness, it was extremely well executed.
