Default Canucks Black Skate Night

In February the Canucks will bring back their "Black Skate" jersey.

Actually, I think those were the best of all the Canucks jerseys and they were still not very good.

To me, that is the Canucks' identity. Maybe it's a product of me becoming a hockey fan when they were wearing those, but when I think of the Canucks, I think of that jersey and logo.

It's no Flaming C, but it's their best logo.

Will there be any kind of ceremonies and will Anson Carter be there for them?

All of their logo's are terrible, this one is just the least terrible of them all.

I dunno.

That jersey doesn't have VANCOUVER anywhere on it, so I find it really hard to remember what city they come from

Part of the 20th anniversary of GM Place/Rogers Arena festivities.....of course they never worse those jerseys in GM Place, switching to the Orca C, while also bringing Messier and Keenan in tow that inaugural season

Of course this is mostly just a money grab for the Canucks and the NHL, but I'm with a few in this thread; this was the best of the Canucks' unis. Might as well.

Huh, I never realized that there was an image of a skate in their logo - it always just looked like Saturn to me.

I basically thought this until about 2012 lol. No shame in that, it's a silly logo to begin with.

Did you know the Wild logo is in a shape of an animal?
The Whalers logo has the letter "H" in it?

Keenan and messier were late 90's, arena opened in '95, yellow and black until '97.

I learned it was a skate just a couple of years ago, I always thought it was a plate of spaghetti when I was a kid. Just a disaster of a logo. Vancouver has yet to wear a jersey that looks good.

Yes, though it did take a while to realize that. Especially the Whalers logo.

Biggest identity crisis team in the NHL?

Nothing like seeing a game in Vancouver filled with Canuck fans and seeing a handful of different jerseys with a handful of different designs.

Staggering how many they have and how many they've reused recently.

Nevermind different designs/logos.. they can't even settle on a consistent colour scheme.

You could have an entire playoffs of teams wearing different Canuck jerseys and never have to worry about confusing who's on which team
