First off, I'm a massive Bouma fan as evidenced by the absurd length of this video... But I'll be damned if he isn't a stud.
I started this video thinking Bouma's new contract was a little overpaid, but now think he's worth every penny. What a warrior, even if he can't recreate his offensive production from this last season. Even after shattering his hand blocking a shot he returns in the playoffs and takes yet another massive slapshot in a dangerous position.
I let the audio play out following his injury causing shotblock as the crowd gave him a huge ovation, and bled the audio from his playoff return in as the crowd was chanting his name so loudly. Loved it!
My planned order for the next videos: Backlund, Rookies, Colborne, etc.
I still believe that a great deal of the Flames culture is a result of this man. There are plenty of leaders on this team who set the pace, but many of them were here before we felt the effort change. It was often Lance leading the way in committing to this team, and I truly believe that the team followed suit.
All of the words we use to describe the Flames and distinguish them from the rest of the league are the exact same words I'd use to describe this guy.

2014-2015 Stats:
In 78 games: 16 goals + 18 assists
16 Even-strength Goals + 16 Even-strength Assists for 32 ES points. Think for a second that had a guy like Camalleri played 78 games, he was on pace to score 19 goals / 16 assists at even strength to really get a sense for how productive Bouma really was last year when he was on the ice. He wasn't out there on power plays but still managed to consistently get on the stat sheet.

264 hits sounds about right, but I can't believe he only registered 82 blocks. Just over 1 per game?! Ridiculous.
Like Russell said, it's not how many blocks, it's the fact that Bouma's taking full-speed slappers from the point head-on that makes what he does so awesome.
