Awesome. Can't believe how lucky we are to have these guys calling regional games. They're better than most of the national guys.

Awesome that those guys are back.

Still not used to TSN having zero Flames games, and is something I miss.

Great combo. The only mention I have is that I hope Ball uses his "Scores!" more often, even if he has to interrupt his play by play to do it. A lot of the times he'll opt instead to finish describing the play by play and the "Scores!" happens about 2-3 seconds late with less gusto on it.

Both guys did a great job. Another reason the season was pretty magical.

....hmmmm... just waiting for them to announce which flames game they will drop last minute from center ice so i can start planning my "flames clinch a playoff spot" party i'm still a little bitter about that from last season.

Great news.

When they say 82 games on Sportsnet, does that leave room for games on CBC under the Sportsnet branding? Or is it different this year.

Excellent. Couldn't be happier with the Ball-Hrudey team.

I just wish Sportsnet would utilize them for the nationally covered games.

I credit them directly for all the success the Flames had last season. Great news to hear they will return.

I was hoping for a team of Jim Ross, Jessie Venture on color, and mean gene Okerlund as the host.

Jim Ross - "Connor MacDavid carries the puck over the blueline and he's crushed by Mark Giordano in the coner. My god, somebody stop the hockey game, he's broken in half, This man's got a family"

Ventura - "That's right Jim Ross, Gio did what everyone should do when they play a cheater like Conner MacDavid, pummel him and let someone else collect the body parts"

Ross - "My god Ventura its 12-0 for the Flames at the end of the first period, now over to Mean Gene for a special interview"

Mean Gene - "This is Mean Gene with my special guest Calgary Flames defenseman Dereyk Engellend"

Engellend steps into the shot with Brad Treliving standing behind him wearing sun glasses and a Grand Wizard type Turban"

Engellend - "Woooo, Mean my brother Gene, let me tell you something brother, There we were waiting all year long to play the Oilers, and all we heard was the hype"

Treliving yells - "Hype Brother"

Engellend - "We heard they were big and bad and they were going to put an end to Flamamania. But when we got them on the ice . . . whooo and 19,000 fired up Flamamaniacs started chanting Go Flames Go, and we felt the power of Space Mountain open up and hit the Oilers with the mighty power of the Gods"

Treliving -"gods Brother"

Engellend - "And going into the second period, I gots to ask the Oilers, what ya gonna do when the Red and Black run wild on you"

Treliving - "Whoo Baby"

Mean Gene - "and back to you Jim Ross for the second period"

Excellent news. My favourite Flames broadcasters since the Ed Whalen days.

EDIT: No Jerry Lawler, Cap?? That would be hilariously awesome to see him during up in the Whalen broadcast both wearing his crown.
