I hope he does if he deserves it and he's fixed his selfish attitude and off ice issues.

The confidence he has is awesome, at least in the sense, that if it all 'clicks' for him, he's gonna be a fun, fun player to watch.

I, myself, am pretty excited to see where he takes it.

I thought so too, but it's on TSN2, even though it's listed as Baseball Tonight.

It's kind of awkward to have anthems at a showcase event like this. Both the players and fans had blank "Why the **** are we doing this?" looks on their faces during them, haha.

Marner's definitely the standout for me so far. He looks incredible out there, he looks like the game breaker type. Hopefully he can become a star at the NHL level, he's fun to watch.

TSN announced this game is sold out. I can't really see 1/3 of the fans that paid for tickets just last week deciding not to show up.

Anyone know if ticket packages were sold? That would make the empty seats make sense, but as far as I knew it was just single game purchases available.

^ Yes, Hockey Canada was selling a package for all 4 games for $40.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Especially at that price point. Lots of hockey fans likely just said "For $40 I'll buy the whole tournament and go when I can go and it'll be worth it".
