NBC has dropped the Miss America and Miss Universe pageants.The decision to cut ties with anything Trump related came after his presidential campaign speech where he called lantin immigrants murders, drug dealers and rapists.
“At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values,’’ the network said in a statement.
“Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”
“To that end, the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, which are part of a joint venture between NBC and Trump, will no longer air on NBC.
“In addition, as Mr. Trump has already indicated, he will not be participating in ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ on NBC. ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ is licensed from Mark Burnett’s United Artists Media Group and that relationship will continue.”

Real estate developer Donald Trump said Tuesday that he filed a $500 million lawsuit against Univision after the television network severed ties with him last week.
"As a consequence of their inappropriate actions, Univision and NBC have abandoned fifty one wonderful young women who have come from all over the United States to pursue their dream of being crowned Miss USA," Trump said in a statement announcing his lawsuit. "Their participation in this globally renowned pageant has come at great cost and after years of sacrifice and hard work. NBC and Univision have wronged them greatly."

Not all Mexicans. He admitted that he was open to the possibility that a few of them were good.
I really hope his business relationships start to fall like dominoes.
First Univision, then NBC cancelled his shows. Then Carlos Slim cancelled a show they were working on together, then Macy's drops his clothing line.
Next we need to see a building have its name changed to drop the Trump logo.

He didn't call all Mexicans rapists. The only part he got wrong is where he is implying the country itself is sending these people. People are leaving Mexico on their own accord.

I don't believe I said racists = anti-immigration folks. I said he was going to corner the vote from the racist and anti-immigration crowd(s) in the nomination. Or at least he is attempting to. And let's not pretend that if we draw cricles around those two groups there isn't going to be a hell of a lot of overlap. Racism is very much prevalent in the states despite what Fox News wants you to believe.
What Trump said, however, is about as racist as you can get and still almost "get away with it" in todays world. A little hint when people say thing like "I'm not homophobic! I have friends who are gay! BUt..." they are very likely homophobic. And when you here things like "I don't hate blacks, I have black friend but..." or in this case "I don't hate Mexicans, I do business with mexicans but...." Well most people know exactly what it means.
