him and Gman are the heart and soul of that team.
notables to Mason, Simmonds, and now Couturier
Will wait for the AAV but I see it being high, and this contract being long.

Man, some of this stuff is just looking insane to me. I just don't see how you can build championship teams when stars take such a big slice.
I get that the 10.5 for the CHI twins is the benchmark now, but I think Chicago will find out pretty quick how hard it will be to surround them with decent talent going forward.

DAMN.... one good season, guy has never hit 25+ goals in his career.... I hope this isn't the kind of money #13 and #23 are gonna be looking for... maybe the extra money was because he touched Johnny in the All star game?? (see sig)

Vorachek is the real deal. Don't think this is a '1 season' performer.
Think locking him up long term is a good move for Philly....just not sure at that pricetag...

Gaudreau and Monahan contracts will eat mostly RFA years. This is mostly (if not all?) UFA years. Big difference.

I would pay that in a second. Voracek is awesome and he's only 25. Great deal.

It's funny watching the reactions of people. The salary cap keeps going up yet people are surprised salaries are too.

Expensive but those are UFA years. If the Flyers didn't offer the deal, 29 other teams would be lined up to do it.

Philly has so many bad contracts, this isn't one of them though.
Streit $5.25
MacDonald $5.0
Umberger $4.6
Lecavalier $4.5
Gagner (1 more year) $3.2

They already have.
And still find ways to do it every time.

It's 12% of the cap. That's huge for any cap
