Good compromise. Nashville was really low-balling him. He'll likely be a perennial 20 goal scorer. Kinda reminds me of Langkow with a better shot.

Looks like they met exactly in the middle if they were seeking 2 years from arbitration.

3.75M and 4M for a total of 7.75M in the first 2 years. Preds submitted 6M total and Smith's camp was hoping for 9.5M.

Like Smith a lot funny reading TSN comments a lot of people don't know who he is. Could be a steal of a deal as soon as next season and he's young. I like this deal because it shows there's still some very sane GMs in the league that don't explode the cap and hey go figure they are a top team in the league...
