Nice work.
I can't stand the EA series though... the hits sound like explosions, the shots sound like cannons... and the gameplay seems to be always arcade-like.

Thanks, NHL 06 looks fun. NHL 2005 took almost a year to grow on me, I've been playing it alot lately.
I buy both games every year.

So do I, but I always end up returning the EA game.
The new featuers in ESPN look really good. Being able to cycle the puck on a powerplay so easily and always have your player facing the net should come in handy for backing up to the point or moving laterally.

I want to make a NHL 2k6 cover aswell. I don't think I can stand a Leaf player on the front.

I refer to it as the "gaycube".. frankly it sucks... but I got it right when the big 3 gaming stations came out and it was $150 cheaper... it does the trick though

Awesome job, looks amazing.
Ugh, I just read Cole & Neale are the PBP guys for 2K6... guess I'm going EA this year, it's bad enough I have to listen to those alzheimer's poster boys during the season and playoffs, now on my xbox too?

2k6 gameplay is far superior to 06 from the media that's been released.
i agree with Anthony, the sound effects are soo unrealistic and exagerated. the hits are like car wrecks, pad saves sound like 2 by 4's. 2k will definately be less frustating as the maneuverability is greatly hightened by being able to back skate at any time. so moving across the blueline for a slapper can easily be done.

How about we leave the inter-game bickering for another thread, yeah?
Here are some covers to those buying NHL 2k6:

Not that i've heard... for any game. I'm happy to wait, I think they keep delaying the games to have the most up to date rosters as possible.

I like Flipper on the cover, aren't any of you aware of the infamous EA cover jinx? :P
