Oilers trade for and sign G Anders Nilsson
Edmonton Oilers @EdmontonOilers
The #Oilers have acquired goaltender Anders Nilsson from the @NHLBlackhawks in exchange for forward Liam Coughlin.

In addition to acquiring Nilsson from Chicago today, the #Oilers have agreed to terms with the goaltender on a one-year contract.
Looks like Scrivens' days are numbered

He played in the KHL last season. The Islanders had a crowded crease last year in both the AHL and NHL, so Russia was probably his best option.
I can't imagine that the Oilers acquired him to play in the NHL next year. Because he was in Russia last year, he should still have one more season being waiver exempt.
