I used Logomyway on the advice of someone here on CP and it was great. Cost was $250 USD.

Depending on your project and your budget, we might not be the best choice for you. If you already have an idea sketched out, one of those cheap logo sites might be your best option. If this logo is for your business, make sure you spend a little more to get professional graphic designer to prepare the logo files properly.

Just to add to that, anyone who does the logo for you, make sure they also give you a Vector (AI or EPS) version of the logo, in case you want to print it in the future. A JPG is only good for digital applications.

thanks for the advice everyone. I've worked hard to do it myself and I think I've come up with something that I am pretty pleased with.
