Default Mark Cundari signs in SJ (1 year, 2 way, $600K)

To be honest, I actually forgot Cundari was in the system. That says all you need to know about how far he had fallen.

With Cundari signing in SJ, the pieces left from Iginla/Bouwmeester trades are Klimchuk, Agostino, Poirier, and Smith (via trade). #Flames

Those are actually 4 pretty good pieces IMO.

He had a sweet first NHL game where he sniped a goal top corner.

That was about it sadly.

After that goal in his first game I had high hopes for the dude.

Best of luck to him with the Sharks.

I'll miss him about as much as I miss Kerr's PBP from that clip.

In other words. See ya, good luck.

I totally forgot we had him to be perfectly honest. Looks like diminishing returns for the J Bo trade. At least we still have poirer

I like Cundari.

Think he is one of those guys that if he gets a good run of games to get his legs under him in the NHL he could become a decent bottom pairing guy.

Haha oh Kerr. Mark Canary

I still like the guy, he could carve out a decent career as a bottom pairing guy I think. He was never bad, from what I can remember at least. Just couldn't make the jump.

Good luck mark

This just goes to show how much the Flames D depth has improved over the past few seasons. Cundari went from being a tweener who saw NHL time to someone who would have trouble cracking the top 6 in Stockton.

Also, it is inexcusable the JBo trade return did not include a good D prospect but thankfully it has been slightly redeemed by the Berra trade and the potential of Poirier.

IIRC Cundari had a shot in camp the next season but turned up out of shape, and that was the end of his prospect status.
