I think we're seeing a lot of PTO's like this just to fill spots for camp and veteran spots for preseason games. No way he makes the ducks.

He seems like a good guy so best of luck to him, but I am so glad that contract is gone. I wouldn't want him for anything more than a 4th liner or extra forward at this point.

I still want to hear from the guy who had a "source" that said Jones would sign a PTO with the Flames. Some explanation is in order I think.

There's been all sorts of pto rumors this time of year. Don't know what value there is in hammering people on stuff except for dissuading them from doing it in the future

Scorpion's dickbutt probability takes a slight dip today, for the 1st time in about 8 weeks.
I'm interested to see if he can secure a spot. Anaheim isn't particularly deep on forward.

He'd be a problem to deal with at the beginning of the season, and once he comes back from injury. In between that, he's passive and a non factor.
He'd tease you with these awesome drives to the net (only ever saw this at the start of every year oddly enough), running over everything in his path and then it would vanish. Then he'd get hurt.

I think that David Jones is a good player when he's healthy. He was way overpaid but I think he can still score 15 goals in this league.

His game seemed to regress A LOT last year as far as I'm concerned.
With that in mind, I don't think he has enough left in his tank to play at that level to do that anymore. Yeah, yeah, I get the Getzlaf & Perry argument, but here's the thing. Niklas Hagman actually spent alot of time playing with Getzlaf & Perry in his final NHL season after the Flames put him on waivers, and even that couldn't get Hagman playing at a decent NHL level again.
So because of those 2 things, I'd be surprised if Jones isn't done as an NHL quality player.
