let's play a game (Dougie Hamilton contract)
So we are all thrilled with the addition to the blue line!
But what's the cap hit???
My prediction is....
6 years at 6.35 average
Flame away!

Burke is on record that he doesn't like huge terms. I'd also want to see where Gio's contract lands before going huge term.

I don't remember, are we allowed to sign him up for 8 years? Either way he doesn't want a bridge contract so at 22, the longer the contract the better. Maybe up to $7M per.

He already turned down Boston's offer of $5.5M per and it was said he wanted $7.5M per.

Burke is not our GM.
I'd say 8 years 49.25 Million.

Which still doesn't mean he's going to negotiate Hamilton's contract, or veto Treliving's proposal automatically if it's over a magic number of years.
