Coyotes Draft Day
In total Coyotes selected 10 players,
2nd Round
#46 Jonas Siegenthaler - Defense
Jonas Siegenthaler is a smooth skating defenseman with a tremendous combination of size and mobility
#50 Christian Fischer RW/C#
A two-way power forward that specializes in consistency. Skates very well, and accelerates rapidly both forward, on the attack, and backward, on the backcheck. Possesses a quick wrist shot that is very accurate, and is also able to release a bomb of a slapshot. Very well-rounded offensive game
3rd Round
#83 Keegan Kolesar - RW
A gritty two-way winger with the hard-nosedness and work ethic to frustrate opponents every time he is on the ice. Possesses good awareness in all three zones and knows how to backcheck hard; however, this doesn't take away from his offensive ability, as he has shown flashes of great offensive playmaking and finishing ability
#86 Samuel Montembeault - G
In 2014-15, Montembeault posted three shutouts and ranked second in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with a 2.59 goals-against average to help the Armada finish with the fewest goals against (185) and claim top spot in the League’s West Division.
4th Round
#98 - Sebastian Aho -
107 - Brendan Warren - LW
Dominant foward prospect with strong rifle and tremendous puch handling skills. Strong two way wing with great hustle and jump. Wins board battles and drives to the front and creates traffic. Plays bigger than his present size and out-muscles and out plays bigger opposing players. Owns the corners and the wall and strips the puck from the enemy. Dominant at cente and probably can play anywhere up front. A puck possession player with a nifty wrister to boot.
117 - Jean-Christophe Beaudin - C
Big, physically-mature kid played a regular shift at even-strength and on the PK. He’s strong along the boards and didn’t back down when challenged physically.
5th Round
121 - Connor Hobbs - D
131- Samuel Dove-Mcfalls - LW
#135 John Marino - D
