I am not 100% familiar with the needs of all the teams in the league.

Johnny Oduya - Pittsburgh
Justin Williams - Calgary
Jiri Tlusty - Whatever team needs a filler forward
Adam McQuaid - Toronto
Joel Ward - Calgary
Karri Ramo - Edmonton or Europe
Mike Fisher - Nashville
Christian Ehrhoff - Calgary
Chris Stewart - Minnesota
Curtis Glencross - Arizona
Drew Stafford - Winnipeg
Brad Richards - Florida
Zbynek Michalek - St. Louis
Michal Frolik - Winnipeg

Tomas Fleischmann - Carolina
Rich Peverley - Retires

For me the Flames sign 3 of
Ward 3X3.5
Williams 3X6.5
Sekera 5X6.25
Ehrhoff 2X5
I don't think they'll go after two forwards though, so it'll be one or the other.

Flames wont take any of these guys... we are doing it the right way... why pay big money for older guys who need to be retrained for our system then hope they show up to play at our level

Treliving went hard after Stewart, can't see that changing in off season

I'd be quite pleased with one of the mid-profile D-men like Oduya or McQuaid, as long as we don't go higher/longer than 4/4.

He did? You'd think he could have out bid the Wild and the 2017 2nd round pick they gave up for him then.
Where did you hear this? Just curious.
EDIT: Also, I would be more than happy to have the Flames sign Stewart, given that they are confident he will buy what Hartley is selling. A motivated and determined Chris Stewart, who is great shape and working hard could be an awesome piece for us.

No doubt. I can't remember a single season in the last 20 where there Flames didn't sign at least a depth player. With the NHL at large, you're probably looking at MAYBE one team per year that doesn't sign at least one UFA. I get that people fell in love with last year's team, but there will be change, there always is. All you can do is hope that they are the right changes. I get the sense that some people think every UFA available is garbage and would make the team worse if they signed here.

I would like to see us go after Frolik. He is only 27 and seems to be trending up over the past couple of seasons. I have a feeling he still has a lot more to give as well.

I don't think people examining this year's list of UFAs automatically think the entire list is garbage. But Treliving has already had two depth signings. Without knowing if the Flames will manage to re-sign any of our pending UFAs before they hit the market, I would think that Treliving is probably only on the look for defensive depth. Thus I don't think the "top" UFA D from that list will be targeted, due to the money and term they will likely command in open bidding. We might see a D signing in the mid to lower tiers of players listed. But I also wouldn't be shocked if nothing happens.

Who is the worst, most likely to be overpaid D that a team will regret signing? Thats the guy the oil sign.

I think Chris Stewart and some of the D will be targets. But there are only 30-35 players on that list; it's not very realistic to expect we will land more than 1 or 2, if any.

Calgary might not get them for that, but I think 4/4 is actually a pretty good guess for those two. Oduya is getting older and McQuaid isn't a top 4 solution for anybody so I can't see them getting much more than that.
