What will Giordano's next contract be?
With Treliving proclaiming that the #1 priority this summer was signing Giordano to an extension, speculate on what the value and term will be.

I dont know but I'd be surprised if it was less than $7M.

4 years, $8mil
If he wants a contract until he's 40, he's going to need to take a sizable discount. If I was him, I'd sign a short term deal for big $$ and then 1 year deals for each year after 35.

Gio will have an argument that he's been underpaid so far, and deserves generosity.

I believe in the Jays.

6.5 x5. Bit of a hometwown discount + a bit of a "I get hurt a lot" discount.

Not that I think you are biased GioforPM but I felt like his last contract was fair value until this year.
He never took a home town discount on his last contract, he simply improved beyond it year over year

Injuries should keep it to a manageable amount.
North of 7 million I'd be fine with but no more than 4 years.

Treliving doesn't like contracts more than 5 years and I don't think Giordano is going to squeeze the Flames for every last cent.
So I would guess: 5 yrs x $7.25
