Default Driving Powderface trail

has anyone driven powderface trail between Elbow falls and Sibbald Creek trail recently?

I took this a couple years ago before the flood to Kananaskis and would like to go that way again.

HWY 66 west of Elbow Falls is fine until it turns to gravel at the Powdeface trail head. Then it is still closed but scheduled to open on July 7...

Scroll down near the bottom and you'll see it listed as Powderface Trail. I know some people who have driven it and say that it is drivable but still rough. There are no barriers up but I would imagine they want you to stay away for some reason still.

I'm wondering about hwy 532 south west of Longview to The Hump. No word on that one yet.

Don't believe it is open yet. Temporary bridges were put in place to access O&G installations, but at the time was considered a private road (handed over to Shell I believe). I think the Government now has control over it again and is putting in permanent bridges.

We used to use it as a rally stage, but are expecting it to open at some point this year.

Thanks,

I know there are some really good dry camping spots off that road but not sure how accessible with trailer they will be when done. once it's open I'll have to do a dry run with the truck only
