Default Best bars to watch flames in 2015 playoffs

Me and a few buddies are looking to head out and instead of watching at home, enjoy the atmosphere and watch the flames at some fun bar/pub. Any recommendations? Flames central is obvious one but it is usually pretty packed from what I hear. Can be in any part of the city but someone around downtown with close access to the train is preferred (so that the beer can keep on flowing the whole night)...thanks guys!

I like Limericks on Macleod.

Ahh easy access c-train? downtown? Well, Rose & Crown is alright I guess.

I like Shanks South, work right beside Flames Central but never seen a playoff game there yet. Huge screen up front in Shanks, this place was PACKED during the 2011 canucks run ... which now thinking about it, I may have to reconsider on where I go this time around...

I have a 55' screen and if you're willing to supply the beer and pizza you can be my guests for the game.

Shark Club Deerfoot is pretty awesome if you can get a seat at the edge of the mezzanine.

The eye candy doesn't hurt the situation either!!

Deerfoot is a little out of the way from the train. Local on 8th is pretty much the same in terms of talent and is always packed.

So many places these days don't play audio. I would have to agree Limericks has lots of seats and screens with audio. Generic chains like Original Joe's don't play the game audio so the experience is lost.

Shark Club is out of the way and packed.

Hudson's are usually pretty good.

I also hate how a lot of places don't play audio anymore except for sports specific places. I do believe though that now with the Flames in a serious playoff series that almost everyone in the bar business will jump on the fan bandwagon. Food and beverage sales have taken a little dive in Alberta as a whole so places hopefully will be innovative.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about audio for Flames playoff games.

FATS is a great place to watch - just a few blocks from Sunnyside station. Haven't been there in a bit as I live down south now, but the set up is great and everyone can see a TV no problem. Even the booths have a private TV.

any suggestions for a downtown/beltline joint? I'm guessing ship and national on 17th are gong to be no goes because folks will get there at 5.

I live in Kensington; I haven't been there in a while but I used to go there quite a bit (their pizzas are really good) and there always seem to be Canucks fans there during the playoffs. I'm not sure why as it's not officially a pro-Canucks bar, but fair warning and have your trash talking hat on.

Just renamed.

With the playoffs on, don't be surprised if a lot of places start playing audio when the Flames are on.

FATS is now 10th St Station, a Gastropub. I don't know if they still emphasize sports. In the past it was full of Canuck fans.

Watched the LA game at National on 17th. They put the sound on after enough people called for it. With the Ship next door, there was a good buzz on the street on that block. About 30 mins after the game people from the Dome started appearing.

I'm hoping to continue to hear people's favourite spots. My buddy and I were thinking yesterday that we don't really have anything off the top of our heads that's a great place to go, which is kind of odd. It's the first playoff game in 6 years....want to celebrate with everyone!
