Is there an actual strategy to this game or is it just pure luck?

I thought it was a Simpsons reference...
Lisa (thinking) "Poor, predictable Bart. Always chooses rock."
Bart (thinking) "Good old dependable rock. Nothing beats that..."

Yes I was going for the Simpsons reference. The look of confidence on Bart's face followed by the complete shock of losing cracks me up every time.

I played that after an Ulitmate game once and for love of me cannot remember what beats what expect we played Ninja, Cowboy and Bear
I think Ninja beats Cowboy, Cowboy beats bear and bear beats Ninja.
It is pretty fun the way some people act out each.

RPS tourney is tomorrow night (Friday). If you haven't bought tickets, you can show up at 8pm at Coyotoes to register. Entry is $20 and includes a t-shirt, free beer and the chance at prizes.
Outrider cheerleaders will be there as well.

There's a Rock, Scissors, Paper programming competition I've read about. What it comes down to is picking up patterns in your opponents algorithm. I can see that, but this simply looks like an excuse to drink (and I applaud it for that).

Thank god I wasn't the only one who saw the Nazi salute in the logo. I didn't get the punk, I was thinking the Olympian who had the black glove in the Mexico City Olympics.
