Poor Gio, would have likely won if not for the injury.

Karlsson I think is gonna win. Too bad for Gio, probably wins it this year without the injury

Karlsson would be my vote.
Would have easily been Giordano if he stayed healthy. He was on a tier of his own at the time.

Brodie and Gio both could have been nominated had Gio not gone down.
They were easily the best pairing in the league.
Karlsson probably wins.

Either of Weber or Gio could replace Doughty on that list and I don't think anyone would complain.
Despite being injured in game 65 or whatever, Gio would still look fine on that list to me.

For those thinking Weber should have been nominated, I disagree. He had an off year. If anything, I think Josi was robbed a nomination from Doughty.

Am I the only one that is surprised that Doughty is on the list?
I look at this stats and find them underwhelming.

They have to do something about the east coast bias in terms of awards. Poor Weber.

Weber gets ignored again.
Doughty played a ton of minutes this year, but his overall stats are not that impressive plus his team missed the playoffs.
Hope Karlsson wins of those 3.

I know Doughty had some stretches where he was playing a ton of minutes and really carrying the team but the fact that Kings missed playoffs and even Giordano out scored him kind of leads me to think there were some better options than him.

The NHL is ruining this award. Doughty is head and shoulders better than the other two
It's pretty much the Phil Housley trophy now. Whoever can put up the most points

Hasn't it always kind of been like that though? That's always a big factor.

I actually think Karlsson is more over-hyped. Like the previous poster said, it's turning into a Housley award.
I still think Housley should be in the Hall though ahah...

East Coast bias? I didn't even consider Subban or Karlsson. My top three were Weber, Keith, and Josi.
