Default iRobot Scooba 450

So I am thinking of getting one of these. My apartment is hardwood floors throughout, and we have a cat. There is a new building being built across the parking lot so, the dust in our place is horrible.

Has anyone picked up one of these? I was thinking about the Roomba 880, but I think with having the hardwood throughout, this would be the better option.

The Neato lineup of robot vacuums are much better than the iRobots.

http://www.neatorobotics.com/

The Roombas just drive until they hit something then bounce in a random direction in hopes that it covers the entire floor whereas the Neatos actually scan your room and plan things out.

I quickly returned our Roomba after buying it and got a Neato instead. Been using it for 2+ years now and it still does a great job.

+1 for the Neato.
Only downside is they are extremely loud, so would not recommend running while sleeping. Great on Carpets and Hardwood floors. Warranty cust. serv. also very good.
I've attached felt to the side of ours, since it runs close to base boards, it scuffs them.
Costco online is usually is the cheapest place to get them.

I highly recommend iRobot Braava, good for hardwood or laminate. Easy to use and maintain. I like it much better than my previous iRobot vacuum.

I don't know about this Scooba but my Roomba (pet series model) does not effectively clean my apartment. Its randomness just misses too much. Also, on the hardwood, it pushes all the dirt to the bump where the carpet starts, and leaves it all in a pile there.

My girlfriend has long hair and jams it up every couple of days without cleaning.

I totally thought this was for cleaning pools.

There is a new dyson model which scans the room at all. Waiting for those to see what they are like.
