If you are out of the playoffs you may now release players that are pending free agents that you intend not to sign.
This means any player showing as having 1 year on their contract remaining.
You may NOT release anyone with more than 1 year as those buyout amounts must come off your cap for next year. Questions?

Yes, from the rookie (who probably beat JonDuke to this question), how does one communicate the release of the player?

Load them into a cannon and fire them into the sun? Or do we send an email to cphlufa saying that we would like to release the following players?

I assume at this point for those of us eliminated, roster limits aren't a concern? If I chose to jettison half my AHL team because they are not in my future plans will I be watchdog warned for being under the roster limit?

There is a link on your team page allowing you to release players. You will not be fined or watchdogged during this period as far as I know.

No, not that long. We have to do rerates before UFAs/RFAs. Should be in late June, early July.
