Default TV broadcast delay

Over the past few games on CBC at the end of the game I've noticed some timing oddities.

It goes from the end of the game to an interview with a player, but the time is after the stadium is quite empty, or much more than just the player got caught right after everyone was going off. In the last Cal-Van game, it was the end as the players were streaming off, maybe even game stars going on, crowd still cheering. It cut to an interview that seemed to me that the staduim had emptied and it was a few minutes later.

The same thing just happened on the Ottawa-Montreal game. Players celebrating, crowd cheering, to under the stands with Weise, he's got his equipment off, wearing a hoodie, like he'd had a short break.

What's the broadcast delay and why shut it off at player interview? I thought it was 7 seconds because of Ron&Don but this seems to be something else.
