Default Clint Malarchuk releases his story.

This should be a good read. I am still sad he left us after Vancogate.

I think it was mutual. Thread says Clint left first.

I just watched him on OTR. The other guests were Rick Dudley and Steve Ludzik (I had forgotten he has Parkinsons). Malarchuk credits both those guys with saving his life during the dark times. The book sounds like a must read.

I am watching him on OTR right now. Great story. He also looks much younger than the shot of him attempting to kill John Tortorella.

He put Rick Dudley in tears and not going to lie I teared up a little listening to him talk.

Ludzik and Clint were asked which Canadian team would they want to coach? Ludzy said Leafs and Clint said Calgary. Landsberg asked him why and Clint said "they're gonna be good, they will go through the growing pains but they have some have players who are going to be really good."

That's awesome!

Wow. He's looking great now. Even just last spring he just looked so.... tired. I knew he was still having some health issues but it looks like stepping away from the game really helped

This guy is a legend.

Yeah, he honestly looks like a different person.

What a great episode. Landsberg has had his problems as well with depression so hopefully Clint can give him some hope too.

Great story to share with anyone suffering from a mental disorder. He came full circle, looks healthier and happier than the average person. His cadence is so contented and relaxed it's amazing how someone can go from suicidal to perfectly healthy.

Hope folks don't mind the bump on this thread, but I just finished reading Malarchuk's book this evening. I found this to be a great read, partly because I had a curiosity into how he dealt with the jugular incident, and also because I wanted to see how he dealt with the mental health issues after his shooting in 2008.

I think that for anyone who has either had, or thought they have had mental health issues at some point in their life, it really will help you reflect on your own situation.
