2015 Draft Lottery - Saturday, April 18
So is anyone sad that the draft lottery tomorrow is a non-event for us? At the start of the year I, like most, thought we'd be in on a chance for McDavid and thought that would be good for the club. Happy that we're thinking about winning Game 2 of the first round tonight with Monahan, Gaudreau and Bennett and we can let the Oilers fans plan their lottery parties, haha.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'd like to see the Oilers get halfway respectable again and rekindle the battle of Alberta. If they need McDavid to do that, so be it - would make for some great games.

A minority of one. They can rot for all of eternity, thank you.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I think the fix is in and Toronto get's that pick. I sort of get why the league would do it.

I feel like the Leafs are winning this.
Just a gut feeling.

I would like Oilers to win McDavid. Not because I want them to be good but rather because it means we can see McDavid play a lot if we choose to make a road trip.
Sucks that most the high profile stars are in the East ... Subban, Karlson, Crosby, Stamkos, Ovechkin, Tavares etc ...

Come on Columbus! New Jersey!! Anyone but the Oilers and Leafs, but preferably someone (anyone?) below the Leafs and have it push all the others down.

I think you've spelled Yakupov, Schultz, Eberle, Hall and Nugent-Hopkins wrong, all the high profile stars are already on the Oilers.. something special going on up there.

I'd be fine with the Leafs getting it. They're on TV a lot and I want to see McDavid play... plus that would mean we'd have McDavid and Eichel in the same division so that's the making of a great rivalry.
I just don't want Boston/LA/Arizona/Edmonton to get it... the first two have had their moment in the sun, I don't think folk would show up in Arizona even with a generational talent and Edmonton's already had three shots at the #1 pick.

i really really hope that the oilers/leafs don't win it.
Best case scenario: Canes, Devils, or any other eastern conference win the lottery.
Why: keeps McEichal in the eastern conference, and results in oilers/leafs dropping one more spot down.
2nd best case scenario: Buffalo/Arizona win the draft, keeping the oilers/leafs right where they are.

I want Columbus or Carolina to win the lottery - two teams that played well late in the year after their seasons were derailed by injury.
