I would be surprised if the following happened.
NY Rangers collapsed against the Penguins. NY.
Montreal will beat Ottawa. MTL.
NY Islanders will beat Washington. It will be a battle. Ovie may be the difference maker.
Tampa will beat Detroit.
Anaheim will have a tough contest with Winnipeg. I can't say who will win this. The team that comes out of this will be a contender.
St Louis vs Minn. Can't tell who will win this one. Such a meh series. maybe St. Louis.
Calgary will prevail over Vancouver.
Finally, Chicago or Nashville. who cares, they are both doing us a favour. Without Kane, Nashville has the advantage.

So we're officially underdogs. Good.
I think the Rangers come out of the East.
In the West the Ducks over the Jets. Jets can't keep up for 7 games.
The Blues over the Wild.
Chicago over the Preds. The better team wins.
Calgary is lucky to face the Canucks and vice versa. Whoever wins should hope that their next opponent has had the crap beaten out of them.

I logged onto my Bogog account last night and noticed some money in there that I didn't realize I had. I didn't feel like thinking about it too much so I put everything I had on a Calgary/Ottawa final. It had 101:1 odds.

How do the pluses and minuses work again? I always get mixed up.
Like for Vancouver, does this mean if I bet $160 on the Canucks and they win, I get $260?
And for Calgary, does this mean if I bet $100 and they win, I get $230?

I think you're right.
IIRC, Vancouver being -160 means you have to bet $160 to win $100 ($260 total). Calgary being +130 means you bet $100 to win $130 ($230 total).
As far as odds go, If we win, I wan the Jets to win, because I think either Calgary or Vancouver could take the Jets. If we lose, I want Anaheim to win as I think they would have the better chance of eliminating Vancouver.

The Jets have been playing heavy playoff style for at least the last 20 games.... They have more healthy bodies going into the playoffs than they have had for quite some time.
8 D-men that have put in games of more than 20 minutes in a game in the 2nd half of the season: (top minutes played in a game since Jan 1)
Myers 27:30
Enstrom 27:31
Byfuglien 29:19
Trouba 29:45
Stuart 24:06
Harrison 22:05
Pardy 21:05
Chairot 24:00
These were all important games .
They also have Postma who put in 23:01 in game but is out for the season and Clitsome who played 20:20 his last game on jan 3 before going IR.
10 defensemen with at least 1 game over 20 minutes must be a NHL record.
Their #9 d-man going into the playoffs is Ellerby who played the last game of the season.... He got into 5 playoff games with the King in 2013.
The Jets seem to be a plug and play team.

Penguins with the lowest percentage to win the opening round.
Never thought I'd hear that for quite a few years.

On the money line, the jets seem like a decent bet. Not sure why they would pay better, than say, the wild.
The Pens line is hard to believe. Not that I would expect them to win, but I would have thought Vegas would see it closer than that. (I assume lots of dough on NYR from the casual fan).

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

thats it exactly, these odds don't just take into account who is they think is the better team its also trends with who is putting money down on whom
Rangers have a large following and won the presidents trophy, lots of people are putting money on them

Yeah I realize the Jets are everyone's darling but I think they are too inconsistent. Getzlaf and Perry will be the difference.
