Game 6, Flames vs. Canucks, 7 pm, CBC, NBCSN, TVA
Hey Canucks!
Flames lead series 3-2
I said it in the post game thread, but that was nearly the absolute best the Canucks can play, and it wasn't nearly the best the Flames can play, yet the Canucks won just 2-1. I kind of figured that would happen. Throw in some favorable officiating, terrible ice conditions, and Miller playing well when he was tested, and the Flames had a lot of things go against them last game. Tonight, they will have the crowd behind them, and that alone should give them the boost they need to win. Although, they won't need a lot of extra motivation the way they're talking about it. From the comments yesterday, confidence abounds in the Flames locker room. Backlund has made an unofficial guarantee to win this game tonight. The rest are feeling loose and excited, not necessarily feeling a lot of pressure.
I don't have a whole lot else to talk about today. End the Canucks tonight. Bounce back from the last loss and finish this series on home ice.
Roster Notes: Nearly impossible to know who will be in the lineup tonight. Flames had an optional practice and there were several Canucks missing from practice yesterday. Desjardins did say the missing players would all be available for the game tonight, so likely it was just maintenance. I doubt you see many changes in the lineup tonight.

With all the players available I would love to see Hartley sit Raymond and insert Shore into the lineup.
Keys to the game for Calgary:
Bring waves of forechecking and put pressure on the Nucks defensemen
Physical game, but stay out of the penalty box
Do not over think or over pass
Put lots of pucks on Miller and get bodies to the net
Enjoy the moment and have fun
Play as above for 60 minutes

Well the last time I went to a Flames playoff game in a snow storm it was a flames victory (it was even a game 6). Here's hoping the hockey gods bring the same luck!!

I don't think my heart can take it if we don't win today, not to mention I could use a small Flames break so I don't fail all my finals, just the few that happened already

I'm just happy the games at 7 and not 8. One less hour waiting for puck drop
3-1 Flames. (Empty Net)
Backlund, Wideman, Hudler (EN).

Dislike the burning of the Canucks jersey picture.
Close 'em out at home tonight! Saturday night home crowd will be huge.

Burning the jersey is not cool....
If the Flames come out flying and hitting this one will be over early. If they don't and play like the last game then I may be watching through my fingers

One game to knock out Vancouver at home. Looking forward to seeing the boys come out flying tonight. Good start, get the lead, and then just keep leaning on them until they collapse.
GFG!

The first line gets back going again...the Stajan/Jones line plays well, as does Hiller...but in the end, the Flames "hero" is an unlikely source.

So pumped!! Come on flames, leave nothing on the ice. This is a biggest game of their careers for many of the young flames and I bet they are here to compete harder than ever before.
This is the time to elevate and show everyone what this team is made of.
Do it for Gio and Boums so they have a chance to play again this season.
GFG.

When the Flames have a weak game they almost invariably come back with a great performance. Tonight will likely see the same. GFG!
