Default Saddledome Seating

Looking to go to the flames game against LA and was wondering how the seats are at the press level? Would I be better off watching it on TV?

Some people like them. I hate them. The atmosphere should be fantastic, though.

I like the first three rows, don't like anything higher than that.

This is pretty representative of the view from up there...

You can't see many of the fans in the lower two bowls, and you can't see most of the scoreboard (there are video screens available, so you can still see what's on the scoreboard), but you can see all of the ice surface.

Depending on how good your eyesight is, you may have a hard time identifying the specific players.

It's a bit like watching the game through a tunnel.

The atmosphere up there should be pretty good, especially if they can clinch a playoff spot on Thursday.

I like the nosebleeds. Try to get seats near center ice and preferably in the first couple of rows

TV is easier to identify specific players. But you won't mix up teams that high. Atmosphere can't be beat as others have already noted. As an added bonus, great leg workout on the way up.

People commenting here must be spoiled with good seats, because I love the bleeders. Can see everything, middle of the ice, and as mentioned, great atmosphere!

We used to have season tickets. FF1, Row 35, seats 18 & 19 behind the Flames goal 1st and 3rd period. Great seats.

We have souvenir tickets from the 1989 championship that cost $18.00 ea.

Agree. The first three rows are okay, but I'd rather go to a bar or watch at home than sit higher than that*. It barely seems like you're even watching it live.

*with the exception of playoffs

Really depends how much you pay.

I wouldn't pay more than $40 for any ticket in the press level.

I agree with others that the first three rows are OK. Any higher than that, and it becomes not such a great experience.

I find its always more enjoyable being there. The thing I really like about the bleeds is the perspective of seeing a play develop. Its a great viewpoint.

Add in the live experience of being there and I would take that over watching on the tube almost every time.

The first few rows are definitely preferable but I have enjoyed the games where I have sat higher as well. I dont think you would be disappointed.

Hm I really like the Sportschek zone. Definitely good value for 30 dollars. I don't find the players that small actually.

I don't mind the press level if I can get the tickets for cheap enough. Beats watching the game at home.

I had season tickets in row 2 of PL and they were fine. You can also spot out second bowl seats of people who didn't show up...... haha

I love press level.

You can get seats for under $30 sometimes!

You can see the play fine, any one that tells you different is either blind or has never actually watched a game from up there. There are a couple problem spots where there are railings and stuff so I'd try to sit in the first 3 rows or higher than 6.

Outside of that it's pretty awesome. You have your own washrooms and concessions

Or they've had the pleasure of sitting in the first or second bowl.

I'd much rather pay $50 and sit at the top of the second bowl. Only time I'll get bleeders is playoffs when that all that's available.

This!
Have you ever been to a live game at the dome before? You can't beat the live experience.
