I said yes. Sounds like he's a good dressing room guy. I also liked the story about him taking the faceoff in the Vancouver brawl so Blair Jones didn't have to fight that guy that beat him mercilessly in the A

I voted for him coming back so Wolf can have a taste of the AHL first.

I actually came to kind of like Westgarth, but I'd rather have McGrattan only whike opening a roster spot for a Reinhart or someone.
I expect they will re-sign him however.

I don't know if it needs to be Westgarth, but I think having another tough player made a big difference to this team after we acquired him.
I think he is going back east though, no matter what.

No. Complete waste of a roster spot.

I say yes because I don't think Wolf is NHL ready. With Wolf's two-way we're very likely to see him bounce between AHL and NHL but until Wolf is ready it'd be nice to have Westgarth around.

I vote yes. He will probably sign for near league min. If wolf or Ferland can earn spot they can send him down or sit him in press box . Just like D prospects, I rather him in the press box than them.

Yup, he's tenacious and can help police the ice and keep guys accountable for taking shots at our young guys. Mcgratton can't be the only guy watching out for the kids.

I am still undecided on this one. I like Westgarth but do we have room for 3 tough guys? BigErn definitely be a keeper then we just signed David Wolf for a season.

He is pretty much a good 13th/14th man. As long as that is his role I am fine with it.

i thought he did fine in his role. he is big/physical, yet can play a decent 4th line shift. He was an upgrade to Jackman who had really tailed off during his last year or so here.
I love bouma, thought he would be more inclined to fight and rough it up between whistles, but that doesn't appear to be his game. I think that is why a 2nd tier bruiser alongside mcgratton is likely needed on the team.

He sounds like a good guy and it seems management likes him but I voted no strictly on the merit of his play. I feel both he and McGratton on the 4th line makes the line a liability in close games. The Flames aren't good enough to rely on only three lines and that's what happened a lot of nights in the 3rd period.

Westgarth statistically is one of if not the worst player in the league. Jackman is a much better player.

Was suprised by his game last year , but we need a 4th liner who's pressing to be a 3rd liner .
Not rotating in and out of the roster.

Westgarth's value last year was under-appreciated by many fans. The Flames were a better team after he was brought in.
I chose the first option, though the second one is also valid.

This one is definitely a lot harder than the Butler question.
