Good. Hope the Jets collapse and miss the playoffs.

and the league couldn't just make it 5 to end his season? Sigh. He would have deserved that.

Great news, both for Flames fans and the guy he cross checked.

Good. That was Pronger-worthy in its nastiness. Punishment for vicious hits should be harsher.
I still can't believe the league had ignored Ritchie's hit on Monahan! That was dangerous and intentional too.

They needed to balance up the efforts by St Louis to keep LA out of the playoffs.

I like these explanations. Very clearly presented.

Winnipeg went 6-3 when Byfuglien was out with an injury, so it's not like they're totally hooped without him. Interesting they didn't do the full 5 games to end the season.

I don't think it matters that Byfuglien is back in vs. Calgary. Assuming the Flames beat Edmonton and Arizona, and take care of the Kings, they should be safe by that point.

Well, naturally it is best for the league for Buffy to be back, someone has to stop Flames from getting into the playoffs.

Totally, almost a lawyer like methodology to them and they seem to look at it from multiple angles.
Still don't like how they take injuries into account so highly though.

Very predicabtable in what is the worst department at the NHL. Zero legal minds and just a bunch of ex-players and guys who know someone. Something tells me that if there were six games left, he would have gotten five games. Letting him off easy in case the team has an opportunity to get a spot the last day. He intentionally cross-checked a player in the neck. Should be 10 games.
