Default QOTD: 30 goal scorers in Calgary

Flames haven't had 2 30 goal scorers in the same season since 2008-09 when Iginla scored 35 and Cammalleri scored 39, ironically their last playoff season.

Monahan and Hudler both sit at 29.

Do they both get it? Who scores it first? What game for each?

Both score 30.

I think Monahan will finally break his little mini scoring slump and get his before Hudler.

Yes, both. Monahan gets it next game - he's due. And Hudler will likely pass it to him. Hudler will then get his in the same game.

This has got to be the survey where all answers are the same. How can they both not score 30 given how this line is going.

If they both hit 30, we'd be one of possibly 3 teams that had two 30 goal scorers this season. Dallas is close (Benn needs two) and Tampa is close (Kucherov needs two).

Both will score 30 and that is very exciting. Johnny won't be too far behind one day either.

Not too often does a team that has two guys score 30 goals not make the playoffs. For the first few seasons since the 05 lockout it was pretty much a rule that a team needed at least one guy to score 30 for them to make the playoffs and most teams did have 2. The Flames had 3 straight seasons with 2 guys scoring 30 as they made the playoffs. Although in the past couple of seasons that's become less likely as scoring has trended to it's lowest levels since the missed 04-05 season. The last three cup Champions didn't have any 30 goal scorers although the Hawks season doesn't apply since it was only 48 games. Last year 21 players scored 30 or more goals, this year it is looking like a reach if 20 can do so. The season prior to the 2013 lockout, there was 30.

The Oilers last had 2-30 goal guys on their team back in 96-97 when Mullet man Smyth, and the immortal Andrei Kovalenko pulled it off. 18 years since...no dice. So lets hope that Monahan and Hudler both do it, and it results in a playoff berth.

ARZ and EDM games are the most likely candidates for Mony to snap a scoreless streak. Unless he has a massive game against STL.

Two 30g scorers this season. Awesome!

Doesn't quite compare to the scoring we had in 2006-07 with Langkow and Huselius We had five 20+ goal scorers and three 30+ and Phaneuf had 17 to boot. But it would be cool if they could both hit 30 and Johnny too he can still go on a tear I love this team, so refreshing to watch after the past 5 years of failure. I guess longer than five years if you count the four first round exits.

Might be nice to see each of them go on a little run and get into top 10 in goals for the league. 10th in the league sits at 31 right now. Who really cares though? Personal stats are an after thought for this team, I'm sure.

1989 = 7 over 20 goals, 2 with 51. Plus MacInnis, Suter in the mid teens and Fleury had 14 in 34 games. Good times.

Monahan is going to fire one off the crossbar and in on a breakaway on Thursday.

we'll need more than one goal from each between now and the end of the year if there's any hope of holding onto that playoff spot, and i expect nothing less from each. They've been great all year!

155 of the 159 votes agree.
At least no one went full troll saying neither.
