Atkinson has a pair of goals for the BJs, including a shorthanded goal. What is going on with the Blackhawks?

Boy, it would sure be nice if the Oilers picked up two points tonight, and knocked out the Stars at the same time...

Hard to believe, but if the Blackhawks lose, the Wild will be one point out of the #3 spot in the Division. What's more amazing is there 24-6-3 record in the second half of the season.

Columbus up 4-2

Both OOT games have had the scoring in the first period and that has been it.

The Blackhawks will be added to the western playoff race standings thread. That is a surprise.

Is Dallas mathematically eliminated yet, or is that one more regulation loss?

Nice to see the Oil fooling now that the season's over and make their fanboys think that they're something.

Andrew Miller scores on a penalty shot, his first career NHL goal and it is 4-0 Oilers.

I love it. My hope is the Oilers can get themselves all the way into 4th place. They're feeling pretty good about themselves.

Dallas can still hypothetically finish with 96 points. The last wildcard spot belongs to Winnipeg with 90 points. However, Dallas has the tie-breaker. That means Dallas elimination number is 7. Which means that the number will be reduced by:

2- Winnipeg win or Dallas loss.
1-Winnipeg or Dallas OT loss.

Once the number reaches 0, Dallas is out of the playoffs.

The Flames play Winnipeg on the final regular season game, and they only need to gain one point on the Jets in the 6 games in between, for the game to be meaningful. If the Flames gain 5 points or more on the Jets during that time, they make the playoffs, and the game becomes insignificant. I have a feeling it's going to come down to the winner of the Flames-Jets match on April 11, that will decide who makes the playoffs.

Using Seabrook and Keith to try to cover non NHL level players is killing the D...Bickell, Dejardins and Richards are useless on offense...and without Kane, there is no reliable playmaking forward...

A lot of 'Hawk fans blame Q, but, by gambling (and apparently losing) on only getting Timonen to help out the D, Bowman did not get enough help for this team at the trade deadline...3rd pair D has been an issue since losing Leddy to Cap considerations.

Another calm OOT before and after the storm. Strange results with the Oilers pulling off a 4-0 win over the Stars. It was BTO (Bachman Turner Overdrive) taking care of business and getting the SHUTOUT with 29 saves. The BJs smack the Bhawks 5-2. Cam Atkinson gets a hattrick with the empty net goal. Crawford was pulled after letting in 4 goals on 13 shots in under 16 minutes! Scott Darling took over and stopped everything else. Oduya with 2 assists in the loss.
