QOTD: What's the single biggest thing Calgary needs to have a huge trip?
Go 3-2 and they have a pretty good shot at the playoffs, less than that and its going to be really tough.
Lots of things need to go right to have a monster trip against big teams at the end of a season, but what's the biggest?

It all starts with tonight. They need to have a strong, 60 minute game or I fear a loss, especially if we get blown out, will just take the wind out of the sails for this team.

More Deryk Engelland on the score sheet!!
No seriously, scoring contributions from all four lines, will go along way to making this a successful 7 pt road trip.

Secondary scoring. It'll be tough going if only the top line is going well offensively. Good goaltending as well.

Goaltending. Our top-4 D is playing a ton of minutes and it is resulting in lapses that have resulted in pucks in our own net. If our goalie can steal one game and keep us in two others, that's how you can pick up three wins out of five.

Avoid the sluggish starts that have plagued them for them for the last while.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Obviously its a mix of all the choices but unless Ramo plays above his head (like the last road trip) it will be that much tougher for our forwards where secondary scoring can be tough to come by on some nights. If I could add a 1b choice it would be special teams.

Be ready to play in the first. Lately the thirds aren't there like they used to be.

I think they can win more games than they lose on this road trip.
What do they need for that to be a success? Some out of town luck so that they're back in the driver's seat.

Special Teams will be crucial. It doesn't really matter who is scoring IMO

Gotta be secondary scoring. Need Jooris, Raymond and Stajan to pot a couple here and there.
