Default Fitness trackers?

Anyone have any experience with these? specifically the fitbit or the jawbone?

How accurate are the heart rate sensors? Worth spending $150?

I use a Fitbit One... I like it but unless you are linking up to something you might be better off just going with a cheapo pedometer, unless you are motivated by badges and hitting step goals (still needs to be linked to your phone/computer to see those).

I haven't used one with a heart rate monitor though.

Suunto Ambit with Movescount. Worth the extra money for everything else it does

I have a FitBit Charge HR. I find that the it gives me pretty similar heart rate as the elliptical machines in the gym. From the reviews online, it is not as accurate as a chest strap heart rate monitor.

I'm using a Fitbit linked with the MyFitnessPal app.

The Fitbit and the old el-cheapo pedometer I use to have display wildly different readings . . . but I guess as long as you stick with the same device, it'll serve as an effective benchmark.

The jawbone and fitbit's fitness trackers tend to be reasonably accurate when you are at rest, but can become wildly inaccurate when you start moving. How accurate they are really depend on how you wear it, your skin color, blood vessel location, etc.

More accurate is something like the ampstrip

My favorite is the iPhone app Argus. I nearly always have my phone in my pocket, and it's free. Tracks quite a few things, including an ability to track your exercise by type, and your food and beverage consumption.
