Default R.I.P Sam Simon. :( Thanks for the Memories.

The co-creator of The Simpsons, Sam Simon, died Sunday at the age of 59 from colon cancer at his home in Los Angeles. He also wrote and helped produce many other great shows as Taxi, Cheers, Fat Albert, The Tracey Ullman Show , The Cosby kids and It's Garry Shandling's Show.

Kinda a head scratcher why there wasn't more news about this guy. Arguably a huge contribution to some very large pop culture titles. I admit I didn't know much of the guy but after reading about him he was definitely a noteworthy person.

Wasn't quite that well revered/regarded and left in his prime to support his foundation, which while a noble and worthy cause, likely hurt his legacy. IMO that's the real tragedy.

Hew was very highly revered/regarded by his peers. He had done a few podcasts since his diagnosis and he seemed like a genuine and likable guy. Guys like Norm MacDonald and Marc Maron had great interviews with him.

It Should be highlighted that in his will all of his hundreds of millions of assets were donated to all the charities he sponsored.
