I think it's just a case of a team offering to overpay for a player that really isn't that important to them (the Sharks). I doubt it means anything in regards to their aspirations this season. It would be like someone giving us a 3rd for Byron.

So fair to say SJ was the one leaking this since it was way more likely to be a 7th rounder than a 3rd.
