Poirier on the breakaway, Russell has his feet kicked out leading to a NYR chance, and at the end there Glencross crosschecked over from behind while Hudler is trying to set up behind the net.

Despite Glencross not playing well lately, they gave him prime time at the end of the game to try and be the scoring winger he believes he is, and he blew it. I know it was only one chance, but he really can't complain about not being given a chance.

The officiating was poor but they deserved the loss as they simply didn't generate enough quality chances and passing was poor all night. I know there's still a lot of games left to play but they are falling behind and once you are out of the top 8 it's very difficult to get back in as they now have to get a string of wins together and hope a team falls off. They simply aren't playing well enough right now to run off a string of wins.

Flames played poorly and didn't deserve to win based on not putting in a solid effort for most of the game. Still, the reffing was atrocious.

Glencross has been awful. Play just dies on his stick and of course he misses the net in the dying seconds. Ready for him to move on, but done nothing for his value.
