Looks like either Granlund or Stajan will be scratched.
Colborne back at center with Jooris at the wing (or a mistake in transposing the lines by Wills)
Interesting Byron has not practiced yet, but the Flames still haven't put him on IR for a call up from Adirondack. Byron was reported to be wearing a walking boot a few days ago.
Treliving confirmed that Smid has begun skating again, presumably before the main group skates.

I wouldn't mind seeing Potter get a game in before being sent down again.

I like the look of those lines. Colborne & Jooris on a line makes a lot of sense to me. They can alternate between C & RW to give oppositions a different look.
I'm really hoping that line can get Glencross firing just before the trade deadline.

I hope Ramo has a huge game and can steal one for us. The good thing about such a long break is that the team will have had a good amount of time to work on the small details that always seem to bite us in the ass. I'm really hoping both goalies have great practices.

Can't see any justification for scratching Stajan in favor of Granlund at this point in the season. Would rather see Bollig scratched and Granlund moved to a wing.

@SUNGilbertson: #Flames G Karri Ramo will start Tuesday against Rangers. RW Paul Byron will travel with team, won't play at NYR.

Still wonder what Bollig bring besides deterrence.

Ramo was horrible in the earlier game against the Rangers, letting in 4 goals on 13 shots and was pulled after 30 minutes.

I've wondered on road trips like this - the Flames are in the New York City area all week essentially. It's less than half an hour's drive from MSG to the Prudential Center, and less than an hour from MSG to Nassau Coliseum. Hell, even from Manhattan it's just a quick hop to Philly.
After the trip to NYC and with the travel not really starting until next week, will the Flames just stay in one place all week before moving on to Philly and the rest of the trip?

Not too grueling as far as road trips go. The only significant travel is for the last 3 games.

A big game from Ramo would really help.
If he falls flat again, we may have a goaltending "situation". Neither have been particularly inspiring lately.

Yeah with the Flames kind of playing mediocre as of late they really need one of these guys to get on fire as goaltending hasn't been that great lately.

We probably wouldn't have seen Ramo in had we not had back to back games. Hopefully he can win us one.

Stajan has a VERY pregnant wife. Could be that she's due to go into labour soon and he's just waiting for the call.

That would only make sense if he does not travel with team. No point on sitting him if he is travelling with team.

Yeah. Stajan isn't going to miss the birth of their child for anything and the team knows it, with great justification as well.

Even if he's with the team on the trip he'll fly back to his wife when she goes into labour. I'm pretty confident in that.
