Default Feb 15 Practice - Bollig and Wolf likely out against Bruins. Ramo to start again.

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Much of the same today as we saw in yesterday's morning skate. Bollig, Wolf, Bennett still in green. Ramo still in starter's net. #Flames

Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
Sam Bennett, Brandon Bollig and David Wolf once again wearing green jerseys...it looks like they're out for #Flames vs. #Bruins. #BOSvsCGY
more updates as they come.

Is Hartley fricking serious. We won in spite of Ramo.

He let in one softie. And made 28/30 saves. Come on, he played fine.

He was shaky from start to finish and the Canucks played a perimeter game.

He needs playing time too.

He let in a bad goal after sitting for 2 months, OMG!

Hiller has been fighting the flu - a little break isn't a bad idea.

I would say that Hartley has been pretty bang on all year with the goalies. And yet, every single game, people question his decisions.

There are two goalies and one net - they both need to play.

No idea what game you were watching. He played solid outside of the first goal and made some timely saves.

It's mind boggling how some on here pick certain players to hate on for absolutely no reason.

His rebound control was scary. We're lucky the Canucks played an absolutely useless game.

At some points in the season, I liked Ramo over Hiller. I do not mindlessly hate Ramo. I do think however it's a silly decision to start the backup twice in a row when he played like he did. Maybe Hiller is still sick.

I disagree. He's probably been one of the team's most physical forwards since his return along with Bouma and Jones.

There's no maybe, he was reported yesterday as suffering from the flu... but regardless, you're completely exaggerating.

Ramo kept us in that game last night with several timely saves. In the post game interview, Hartely singled him out for his play. He was very solid for us and suggesting we won that game "in spite of him" is asinine.

The Ramo slagging is nonsense. I was at the game and the guy helped us get a win over our primordial enemy. Could, or would Hiller have done the same? Absolutely. But last night it was Ramo. Not Hiller. Not Ortio. Ramo. Räääämo. Considering how much he's been able to play, and that initial softy, I thought his bounce back was pretty high caliber.

Dude seems totally selfless and is by all accounts an extremely hard worker, also. Hartley put him in the team's "top five" hardest workers in practice, last night. I don't know if it's Kipper hangover or what, but the goalie microscope around here is sure hyper focused sometimes. The situation in net this year has been completely solid, and both of the main guys have given us chances to win. Neither are all stars, but 98 percent of goalies aren't. There were years/months/nights where Kipper would let in his share of head shakers also, as I recall.

From TSN:

Quote:
"It was one of my best games in this building this year," said Ramo, who improves his record to 9-5-1. " It didn't feel like it had been quite a while. I didn't feel rusty."

In Ramo's last start on Jan. 7, he was injured in a collision in the second period and ended up sidelined for two weeks. Since his return, Jonas Hiller had been red-hot, making eight straight starts.

"I had no doubt in my mind that he would be ready. We played him twice in the last couple of weeks coming in relief of Hills, and it was by design," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. "Hills had done nothing bad, but Rams hasn't played a lot since the first of December and we needed to get him time.

"He was outstanding."

On a night when a loss would have dropped Calgary out of a playoff spot, the Flames instead pull even with the Canucks— although Vancouver holds a game in hand.

"When the game was on the line, (Ramo) made the save that they needed," said Canucks winger Jannik Hansen. "We had four or five really good scoring chances. You can't really ask for more than that. If you don't score, that's your own fault."

Glencross needs to be on a line with someone who can distribute the puck. We have 3 of those and they all sit firmly on the first line.

I don't have a problem with Ramo starting again. His confidence probably went up quite a bit after that final buzzer, he did make a few huge saves as the game went along. If he looks shaky early on then yank him. Hiller might still be under the weather anyway.

The one guy I'd love to see get going soon is Glencross, haven't seen enough of his classic Scoreface lately. If he got going it would be massive for the team.
