Default QOTD : How will the Flames do on this 2 game Calif roadie?

Fun being back in a playoff chase, but man its amazing how less sure one feels about a team's chances after a loss versus a win. Great 4-2 home stand, they lose one of the two to an Eastern team which is perfect, but the way Pittsburgh handled them was a concern.

So now San Jose on Monday and L.A. on Thursday, two teams they are battling in the Pacific. How do they do?

I am not concerned by the Pit game in the slightest.

I think they play well and battle hard in two really good tough games, but only come home with 2 or less points to show for it

The team will play well in front of their Dad's and sweep the trip

There's one city in California where the Flames can't win, and they're not going there on this trip.

Friday, we saw the best player in the game be the best player in the game. I'm not worried that it means anything more than that.

I think San Jose will come out hard tomorrow, but if the Flames can withstand it, they should be in good shape.

The Kings will be playing their first game home after a long eastern road trip. Games in LA are always close ones, so it will probably be another late/OT win.

We've done incredibly well In L.A. and I can't shake the feeling we're due for a loss there. Hope I'm wrong.

While I think an overall beat down loss like they had against Pit is ideal every so often in order to sober them up and set them straight, they're now playing 2 teams that that they've somehow managed to escape with points with in games over the past month and a half. LA and SJ have that extra motivation and have seen it all from the Flames, so nothing is going to surprise them.

Would be happy with 2 points, but not counting on it.

Sharks have been inconsistent and LA is struggling so I think the Flames come back with all 4 points.

I feel arrogant for picking a sweep.

Sweep. Time to prove they're legit Pacific Division threats.

I love checking the standings every other day and the Flames being relevant and in a playoff chase.

All depends on if they play their game. High tempo, quick transition and dictating the pace.

They did not play their game vs Pittsburgh.

If they bring it in both games I'd say at least 3 points.

In years past would have been happy with 50%. Will not be surprised if they get all 4 points. Sharks and Kings will be hungry and flames have to bring their "A" game.

Amazing how fast people have come to "expect" wins now (even after a terrible game on Friday). Good for flames to play games against their "competitors" for playoff spots as we seem to do better against those teams than the East.

Have a feeling it will be either 2 or 4 points. They don't seem to lose in extra time/shootout very often.

I think picking Hiller for Monday's game is going to prove the wrong decision unfortunately. Don't want to bet against the guys but I would have went with Ramo. I think we lose tomorrow at least and let's hope they rebound Thursday.

I'm not sure where the Ramo love is coming from. He's been mostly average this year and at least Hiller is hot when he's hot

I think we beat one and get a point with the other. Picked LA for the single point, but who knows.

I'm not too concerned by the Pittsburgh game either. Due for a loss and Pittsburgh is starting to get healthy. The loss will help keep our effort honest. These games are the ones we really need.
