Thought the top line's effectiveness went up after Hartley got them away from the Sedins match up. Glad it was recognized that the match up wasn't working and thought Ferland, Jones, and Stajan did a much better job at killing off the Sedin shifts.

Another year's playoffs...another mentally weak team of Front-Runners from Vancouver!

Moving Jooris to centre I thought was a good move as I like Jooris a lot. Granlund has looked pretty average lately. Too many players to praise, good team effort.

Nice to see Wotherspoon out there even if it was only for 5 minutes. We'll see if that's just a start for him as Hartley brings him along or whether he goes back to Potter. IMO Potter isn't getting better as he gets more games in so I'd stick with Wotherspoon. Schlemko seems to be playing with a lot more confidence which is really good to see.

If somebody told me in October that we'd be in the playoffs I'd laugh at them.

If somebody told me in December that we'd be in the playoffs after the losing streak I'd laugh at them.

If somebody told me in March that we'd be in the playoffs after losing Giordano I'd laugh at them.

This is awesome.

What kind of sick father would do such a thing to such an enthusiastic kid?

Loved how the Flames played in the 2nd period. Constant forecheck, hard hitting, giving the Van D fits.

Of note: Vancouver stupidly trying to run 4 lines.

TOI for forwards for GM 3:
Higgins: 17:57
H Sedin: 17:04
Bonino: 16:53
Hansen: 16:30
Vrbata: 15:05
D Sedin: 15:05
Burrows: 14:34

Are the Sedins that past their prime that they are taking a backseat to Bonino Higgins and Hansen?

Maybe they have some nagging injuries as well. Either that or Desjardins is not very good at coaching.

What is that song they were playing when the 3 stars were announced?

(normally the Game Center Live feed is already cut off by then, so it was the first time I've heard it this season)

On the big save. It was Tanev early in the 2nd with a terrible giveaway and Jones getting robbed.

Didn't even know Tyler Wotherspoon was in game till he came to celebrate the win with Hiller in the end.

Dominant game by Flames. Its as if the altitude is a factor.
Very enjoyable to watch. only concerns;
Hudler sure hasn't been his usual self.
A lot of 3 on 3's turned into 3 on 2's against flames - possibly by design to look for trailers but they made me nervous...

I honestly think Desjardins runs 4 lines as an excuse. Guy CAN'T match lines, not won't. Probably has a hard time keeping track of the ice time, so it's easier to just roll the lines. This was obvious to me when he started the Sedins 4th AFTER a TV timeout. He looks so overwhelmed, biting on his lip and holding on to his little clipboard (doubt he even uses the thing). There's a reason he's a 58 year old rookie coach, it's because he's not very good.
